The track follows the artist’s lauded single ‘Beautiful Second’.

Thanks to the heart and soul that he clearly pours into his sound, Oliver Pinder is an artist that immediately resonates with listeners on his tracks and leaves a lasting impression thanks to thoughtful lyrics and emotional storytelling. Latest single ‘late July’ is further proof of the artist’s relatable, affable sensibilities and the poignant edge to his style and sound.

The track takes on something of a happier tone than the artist’s other releases while never letting go of his powerful, all-encompassing charm. The track feels almost anthemic in its glorious, rousing chorus, as he explores the nuances and anxieties of a blossoming new relationship and the thoughts and feelings that you are flooded with. The track is another gorgeous showcase of the emerging artist and his signature style, and provides listeners with another reason to familiarise themselves with Oliver. (which you can do here 😉)

Discussing the single, Oliver explains:
“I wrote late July about falling in love and specifically the anxiety that comes with it. To me, it captures being scared to lean in for the first kiss in-case the other person doesn’t reciprocate and you feel a fool, scared to say I love you, scared to commit to something that is new because you’ve been hurt in the past. It’s those initial weeks of a relationship, but you know that it’s worth it.

This one came at the early stages of my current relationship, it wasn’t the simplest of starts with some controversy, but throughout it I kept on coming back to how it was worth it. Nearly two years on were living together with all of our beautiful cats and sharing all the highs and lows together.

It’s funny – my mums been begging me for a happy song since I was about 14, I think I’m finally starting to deliver on that.”
