Pacing and her uniquely quirky style are back following a stellar 2022.

With her wholly unique writing style and quirky charm, Pacing is an artist that has found herself as one of our favourite emerging artists of the last few years, boasting an appeal and style that feels entirely her own.

The latest release from the artist is ‘Aliens’, a track that explores the feelings of isolation and boredom that come with daily life through the artist’s off-kilter lens. ‘Aliens’ builds gradually and rewardingly, edging closer to a deserved climax that is inevitably coming, before the track just ends, abruptly and making for a bit of a what the fuck just happened moment, maybe checking to see if that was even supposed to happen. It all makes sense somehow though, within the world of Katie McTigue and her eclectic sense of humour when it comes to songwriting. The track is more unpredictable and wholly memorable fun from an artist who gets us genuinely excited whenever they release something new.

Also, if ‘Aliens’ isn’t weird enough for you, there is a really fucking weird alternative version that comes with it, so have fun with that.

“This song is so simple and fun to play, it really became a jam track.” Pacing says. “It needed to build, and there was just so much room to add stuff without it ever feeling like too much. I love how Maddy and Kane’s parts sort of pulse in and out, and then all the weird little violin and foley moments feel like some creature running by in the background in the dark and you’re like ‘wtf was that?’”
