Alt-pop artist Alton Allen releases indie-infused contender ‘Slowerrr’
Highly memorable and coated with psychedelic sensibilities, the prominently indie infused ‘Slowerrr‘ from Alton Allen is a strong return.
Formerly known as Niteppl, Alton Allen is an alternative pop artist that uses indie-folk elements to illustrate his music.
At just under 5 minutes long, ‘Slowerrr’ feels nostalgic in places with it’s chord sequence, yet it’s production is entirely refreshing and polished.
Explaining his thoughts on the track, Alton Allen mentions, “Slowerrr is actually one of the oldest songs that I’ve ever gone back to release, I started making it in 2016 thinking it would be part of Hope Springs Eternal, but it never made it.
Something kept me coming back to it year after year, and I’m really excited it’s coming out now.”
Bathed in a spacious arrangement that will leave you head in the clouds, the futuristic anthem features a mid-beat to fast-paced rhythm and feels the opposite side of the spectrum to the song title.
Following in the footsteps of previous single, ‘Stride’, ‘Slowerrr’ is a confident number whereas Stride hears Alton in a more emotive perspective.
Fuelled with character, this is an artist we’re going to keep an eye out for.
