Ben Cipolla soothes the soul with new single ‘Enna’
A sun-soaked ode to city life on the isle of Sicily, ‘Enna’ features layers of melodies and effortless vocals, making it another stand out moment for Ben Cipolla.
Layers of melodic brass, gospel chorus backing vocals and seamlessly slick guitar riffs slowly build around Ben’s effortlessly rhythmic and uplifting vocals and metaphorical lyrics
Enna’ reaches a summit with a euphoric final chorus that is a perfect soundtrack to bustling, city life on the continent. British-born Ben Cipolla is onto a winner with the energizing, colourful world he has created on this electrifying new track.
Speaking about the new release, Ben shares, “Enna was written very last minute for an assignment at Uni. I couldn’t think of anything else than repeating the word ‘Enna’ for the chorus, and little did I know that this sheer panic would help form my catchiest ear-worm to date. I realised pressure can be a privilege and this song kept me alive during a Uni deadline.”
Possessing a naturally languid and confident vocal style, Cipolla’s singing has been described as “having liquid chocolate dripped in your ears”.
His distinctive upbeat and percussive guitar style is inspired by the likes of Nick Drake, Jack Johnson and Lianne La Havas.
Mesmerising!
