Los Angeles based artist Chris Bloom returns with the bewitching visuals for recently released single, ‘Phantom‘.
A self-taught musician that’s best described as a musical genius, Chris Bloom is certainly an artist we’ll be keeping in our ears from here on out.
Entirely soulful and in parts intimate, ‘Phantom’ is a melancholic bedroom pop number with fragrances of R&B thrown into its mix.
Telling us more in-depth about the track, Chris shares, “Phantom” is about wishing we could see the future for ourselves.
As people, we always wonder if we’re making the right choices. The road of life is hard to go down, but life is worth living so there really is no other option.”
As for the visuals, the blockbuster video is up there with the best music videos you’ll watch this month.
Seeing Chris in different sceneries, the music video uses in-your-face, vibrant colours to portray its fast-paced storyline.
Musically, the track comes across as simplicity being in its key. Saying that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s bad, if anything, it states that writing a killer song will only work if you’re true to your art… and Chris Bloom does exactly that.
