Conal Kelly returns with the addictive new visuals for recent single ‘Really Don’t Like You’
Heads are turning for Bristol-based artist Conal Kelly, and the recent music video for ‘Really Don’t Like You’ explains why.
Having recently recorded a session for Maida Vale, Conal is certainly getting the recognition he truly deserves.
Bathed in a DIY vibe, ‘the music video uses a vibrant colour palette with Conal playing numerous different characters.
Showcasing many different sides to the artist, the visuals are entirely captivating and can’t be ignored.
Explaining his thoughts on the visuals, Conal shares, “I had the idea for this video months before shooting it… in the end I had to stop myself, because I kept coming up with ideas for more locations to shoot.
Everything ran smoothly other than me and the videographer (Elliot Withers) being chased through a field by a group of cows. Might sound funny, but trust me it’s terrifying when they’re 6ft behind you travelling at speed.”
Adding to this, the multi-talented artist shares, “This is a song I wrote, recorded, produced and mixed all myself from home. It took about 48 hours to get the recordings/writing done, then a few more days of mixing!
It was probably the quickest I’ve ever made a song from start to finish, so it seemed like a nice place to start with this new batch of music! I’ve always been a bit of a hermit when it comes to making music, very rarely will I work with someone else to get a track finished!”
The visuals are out now for your eyes to taste on, and their another golden addition to Conal’s ever-growing bow.
