North-West London newcomer E.T. Elliott unveils coming of age number ‘Growing Up’
Alternative pop artist E.T. Elliott’s songwriting blossoms with confidence in new single ‘Growing Up’. Hearing a side to Elliott’s perspective of growing up, the track illuminates in shades of nostalgia and a powerful soundscape of what’s to come in his career.
Written during his early stages of moving into an alternative method of production, Elliott’s debut feels relatable, especially now.
On the release, E.T. Elliott says, “Growing Up is a coming of age track that explores the highs and lows of Elliott’s day-to-day ponderings. Quirky lo-fi bedroom pop vibes work well here. Reversed guitars sour in all the right places and distant vocal swirls provide an intoxicating nostalgia.
Reminiscent of Clario and Metronomy in their English Riviera phase. The song aims to share with people my interpretation of the tedious tasks we all come across when keeping up full-time jobs and trying our best to work hard on creative projects, (that we all want to make full-time!).“
A fierce debut with elements of reflective moments, ‘Growing Up’ is stood side by side with a distinctive, pulsating beat. E.T. Elliott’s first single feels in your face with it’s synth-based production.
As mentioned before, the new single tackles a new sound for the songwriter, and the latest sound is faultless. Shining through with a hopeful vision, if Elliott’s upcoming music is anything like this release, we’re witnessing something very special.
