Ellie Moon promises it won’t be boring in latest 80’s retro anthem
The second single to come from 20 year old British singer-songwriter Ellie Moon couldn’t be more irresistible. Filled with charm and a whole lot of fun, ‘Promise It Won’t Be Boring’ holds onto it’s promise.
Taken from her forthcoming debut EP ‘Moonisms’, the track has been mentioned to be a ‘post-party Bowie referencing anthem for the heavy headed’. Ellie’s single will be released tomorrow worldwide via Moonish Records.
“I really wanted to convey the throwback and fun feeling of the song and so shot the video at the George Tavern in East London, which holds a special place in my heart – supercool music venue, location of some of my first gigs and a place I still love to hang out in.
The song is about going out and having fun with your best mates and so I included my band (who I love lots!), and I also wanted to give people a “sneak peek” of what an Ellie Moon show will be like!” stated Ellie.
Alongside it’s danceable nature, the retro based video may be simple but it just proves that simplicity is key. There’s moments where it feels like Lily Allen jamming with Eliza & Blondie, but it’s Ellie’s distinctive British vocals that compliment the mix with poise.
Armed with sections of driving rhythms, joyful brass and a whole lot of guitar fuelled moments, Promise It Won’t Be Boring will hold your attention from the get go. Proving she’s back and raring to go, we’re excited for her debut EP.
