Birmingham based artist Felix releases infectious pop single ‘Getaway’
“Getaway” is the feel-good new anthem from Birmingham born and raised artist Felix. Written and recorded entirely during lockdown, the new single shines with character, and unfolds into a relatable tune that we can all sympathise with.
An intense arrangement fuelled with indie-electronica, there’s elements of synth-wave, pop and even r&b within ‘Getaway’.
On the release, Felix said, “Getaway is a song about how much lockdown made me need a holiday to have a break from being sat in the same 4 walls for 6 months. I got really sick of the zoom calls, not being able to see my mates and not getting out playing shows.
I wrote and produced it all in my bedroom which made it a little easier being locked in, but I still really want a holiday.”
“Getaway” flows with emotive lyricism and distinctive storytelling. As for Felix’s vocals, they’re warm and armed with an addictive element.
With big plans set in the near future, Felix is one to keep an eye out for, and you heard it here first.
