Brooklyn producer Frankie Furm and LA singer-songwriter Griffin Stone share new single ‘Baby Blue’
The first look at their upcoming new EP ‘PATCHES’, Frankie Furm and Griffin Stone’s new release ‘Baby Blue’ showcases their striking musical chemistry.
The new single ‘BABY BLUE’ is a prime example of the pair’s work. Catchy, experimental, danceable and soulful.
Bringing together driving beats, bright, quacky guitar lines, funk laden bass with airy synths and moments of experimental production, Griffin’s vocals give the fluid instrumentation a pin and a hook.
Comparable to the likes of Anderson .Paak, Jungle and Jai Paul, despite being the pair’s first joint venture, the track shows all the hallmarks of becoming hugely successful.
Speaking on the single, Frankie comments,“BABY BLUE is the head-nodder for me. Of all the songs on the new EP, it’s the one where I could just listen to that chorus loop over and over again.
It also came about at a time when I started really getting into house music, so to be able to semi-successfully incorporate some of that influence into the track is really validating for me.”
Griffin adds: “When we were first making it we just took turns getting each other out of our seats excited from ideas. The collaborative energy was really addicting.”
The immensely talented up and coming artist Griffin Stone is becoming renowned for his unique style as both a vocalist and a songwriter.
Blending soulful vocals with a tight, hip-hop infused flow and honest lyricism packed with creative imagery, Griffin’s fresh and charismatic performances are to be admired.
