Released off the back of their recent UK tour, Manchester 6-piece Freeda share their glittering new single ’Chasing Yesterday’
Breezy indie-pop with a melancholic undertone, ‘Chasing Yesterday’ is as vibrant as it is affecting.
Awash with bright synths and plucky guitars, the track is instantly infectious and uplifting as the bouncing bass and the tight drums give the track a dancey pulse.
The incessantly catchy and bright vocals give the track a central pin whilst adding a tint of melancholy and a warming edge to the track.
On the surface this is jubilant, anthemic indie but scratch the service lyrically and there’s far more than meets the eye.
Talking about the meaning behind ‘Chasing Yesterday’, Freeda explain: “It’s a glimpse of better times after coming to terms with a breakdown in a relationship.
It’s about coming to terms with a broken relationship and acknowledging how hard you try you cannot relive the past”
Having already picked up a lot of hype, Freeda have a whole host of national radio play to their name as well as hundreds of thousands of streams and many sell out shows.
Already established as one to watch, Freeda continue to showcase what an exciting up and coming band they are on ‘Chasing Yesterday’.
