Southern California based singer-songwriter Gabby Neeley exceeds all ‘Expectations’ in fantastic new single
Emerging pop meets R&B artist Gabby Neeley is back with a brand new single, ‘Expectations‘.
Released today, the new track is the third single from her debut EP ‘Coping‘, which is also out today – it’s like Christmas has come early!
Explaining her thoughts on the new release, Gabby tells us, “Expectations was my way of showing bittersweet gratitude for who i used to be, where I’ve been, who I was with.
The first two songs on the project are really low, & I wanted to be sure all of the picture was painted, not just the low pits of the mend.
Not many people are lucky enough to be in a relationship that feels like such real love so young.. it set the standard.
A lyric I didn’t end up putting in the chorus that I debated to replace ‘showed me what it could be like, to wanna hold it down for my whole life was ‘so I kinda hate you and it’s selfish, but now I can’t let myself be reckless.’ because you changed my e x p e c t a t i o n s.”
A soulful offering that specialises in groovy rhythms, note-perfect vocals and professional songwriting, the track alone deserves a crown.
