Indie queen Genevieve Miles unveils radiant new single ‘Sunshine In My Mind’
Becoming one of Birmingham’s finest alt-pop artists, Genevieve Miles unleashes the heated new single ‘Sunshine In My Mind’.
Working with Carlos de Los Santos (Neon Islands, Simple Fiction) for another stand out release, the track showcases Genevieve’s songwriting continues to mature.
Openly refusing to adhere to any rules, Genevieve’s new single comes across as nostalgic yet refreshing to today’s indie scene.
Radiating feel-good vibes throughout the inspiring new single, you can hear Genevieve’s influences of Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club and the Beach Boys throughout.
Speaking of this personal and creative development and how that’s essential to ‘Sunshine In My Mind’, Genevieve Miles shares, “The song is about taking yourself to a special safe place in your mind when real life is too scary or cold or grey.
Me and my friend used to sit and list all the details of the most perfect beach we could imagine and then one rainy November night we ended up writing a song about that beach, about being scared of the real world, and finding sanctuary from that in day dreams.”
This smiley-faced indie superstar is about to take over the indie world by storm, and you heard it here first.
