Romania born songwriter Helen returns with an enchanting visual movement for her final single off her latest EP “Rare”. Entitled “Falling For My Ex”, the single showcases Helen’s sensibilities towards hip-hop and pop, but this time illuminates a trap beat underneath Helen’s signature sound.

Distinctive and illustrating vocals that refuse to be left on the shelf, the painfully relatable lyrics needed a video that can illustrate an empowering movement of letting go of the past, and it does just that.

Helen stated that; “Falling for my Ex” is a song I actually wrote with my boyfriend while we were in Antwerp. We all make mistakes i guess and we all find ourselves in weird situations at some point, so the best thing to do is be cool about it and write a song.“

Visually, the lyric video uses a karaoke like routine for you to sing along to the memorable, relatable words. In the background, we see a wide colourful spectrum of mostly warm colours that use a vibrant shade of independence.

Musically, the track feels like it could interpreted in a way of constantly falling for the wrong people, and the way that’s communicated through song feels realistic and human. Empowering and empathetic, the visuals summit through a change of what’s to come and a career that will constantly grow for Helen.
