Recorded at Unit Studios in Hertfordshire, Luke James Williams’ new single ‘This Says’ is an engaging release that will pull at your heart strings.

Mixed by Alex Bush (Damien Jurado) at Sonikwire Studio, and mastered by Greg Calbi (The National, Julien Baker, Bon Iver) at Sterling Sound. Emotive songwriting with a twist of subtle folk, Luke’s latest wonder feels close to home during the current climate.

Luke told us, “This Says is the first new song I’ve released since I put out my debut EP ‘Drove’ at the end of 2018. It’s about those times when you say something to someone in the heat of the moment and later on it hits you that what you’ve said says more about you than it does about the person you said it to.

It’s a song I had been playing live for a while but this studio version is a lot fuller. The recording was fairly straightforward but I knew I wanted a Danny Elfman style choir on it so I made contact with a local community choir called ‘Sing For Joy’. Luckily, they loved the track and we had a lot of fun writing their parts and recording them in the little village hall where they rehearse. It was an amazing experience. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoy the song”.

A captivating escape from toxicity, ‘This Says’ features an uplifting arrangement. Something that the world needs to hear right about now, the song’s production is warm and paints a blank canvas into a stunning rainbow. As Luke mentioned, Sing For Joy feature on the single, who are a Cambridge based community choir that sing to promote wellbeing and mental health.

The visuals use a stunning, light colour palette while the storyline features mesmerising movements that feel enlightening. A powerful video accompanied by a stunning track, what else could you want? Luke James Williams’ new single is out on all streaming platforms now .
