Ethereal songwriter Megan Dixon Hood returns with her next chapter in ‘Third Lung’

Drawing inspiration from folklore, nature and humans in general, Megan Dixon Hood is an artist that can connect with her fans emotionally and spiritually.

Taking centre stage in heartfelt new release ‘Third Lung‘, the track nudges artists such as Florence & the Machine and AURORA.

Megan Dixon Hood had this to say on the release, “Third Lung is inspired by an interesting experiment from the ’90s called Biosphere 2, essentially a replica of the earth’s ecosystem.

A group of scientists and adventurers lived within this earth spaceship, with a mission to learn and discover more about the planet.

The experiment is often thought of as a failure more than a success because of starvation and lack of oxygen.

I was fascinated by this project when we already have Biosphere 1 – the earth we live on. Humans are curious creatures and I wanted to explore the idea that the earth’s living system is our third lung.”

Taken from Megan’s forthcoming debut album, due for release in 2022, ‘Third Lung’ is an indie-pop single with breathtaking folk sensibilities throughout.
