MOLTENO Shines On Dreamy New Single ‘Moonlight’
UK atmospheric alt-pop artist MOLTENO returns with her dreamy new single ‘Moonlight’ and we’re excited to be running the premiere.
An accomplished vocalist, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, MOLTENO’s unique, dreamy electronic pop sound has been praised as the “love child of Björk and Bat For Lashes”, a comparison which is fitting description for the new single, if also comparable to the likes of The Japanese House and School Of Seven Bells.
Airy synths, driving bass lines, punching drums and subtle guitar lines create an uptempo yet pillowy backdrop for MOLTENO’s emotive and effortlessly beautiful vocal delivery. Opening out into a transportive chorus as layers of vocal harmonies reinforce the ethereal elements of the track, ‘Moonlight’ is a prime example of how MOLENTO’s music is both atmospheric and danceable.
Speaking about the single, MOLTENO shares: “After experiencing lucid dreaming, with ‘Moonlight’ I wanted to explore the idea of travelling and connecting through dreams. What if we truly wake up in our dreams and travel by moonlight? It’s the first single from ‘Element 2’ – the second of four EPs that aim to celebrate the elements and the way nature connects us.”
