Another string to their bow, Psyence’s new single ‘Retrospect’ is filled with adrenaline and everything you’d want from an alternative rock anthem.
Rising from the shadows of previous single ‘Tusk’, the latest single from Psyence is a strong contender in the band’s ever-growing collection of tracks.
Speaking on the track, Jay from Psyence explains, “Everyone gets down, everyone gets fed up, but this is an anthem to make you think back and realise, it’s not all that bad. A bitter end can also be a new beginning.”
An energetic track that uses bold vocal melodies and glistening synths, Psyence still hold onto their vintage rock trait.
Lyrically, the track tells a story about a broken relationship, but somehow, it feels relatable to the current turbulence that Covid has brought.
