Róisin Marie returns with the visuals to her latest contemporary R&B ballad ‘Stormy Weather’
American singer-songwriter Róisin Marie recently signed to SMG ENT and is currently working on a project with RocNation producer, Anwar Sawyer. Recent single ‘Stormy Weather’ dropped a week ago and is already seeing huge success for the songwriter.
To go with the ever-enchanting track, the visuals feature an old but mesmerising tv-set playing the music video. While Róisin gets into character in the video, the homemade picture proves that you can be on a low-budget but still release a killer visual for the world to see.
“With social distancing in full effect, I knew I was on my own to create a visual for my single “Stormy Weather.” In the video, I play myself and my boy Chad. We’ve had our ups and downs, but I think we really came together on this one. The entire video was shot in my bedroom and a laundromat with some minimal help from my siblings.
I always try and keep a green screen and lighting on hand for personal reasons, so luckily I was fully prepared. I edited the whole thing in Final Cut. Chad and I are really proud of the way it came out. “
We all know the song is softly spoken and showcases the songwriter’s extraordinary talent, but the visuals secure this altogether. A hypnotic piece that keeps on giving with each watch and listen.
