LA-based Rush Midnight return with electrifying new anthem ‘Take the Long Way’
Receiving praise from DIY, The Line of Best Fit, The Guardian and Stereogum to name a few, Rush Midnight are becoming a renowned outfit known for their distinctive sound.
Somewhere between funk meets indie-pop, there’s no doubt you’ll be up on your feet dancing away from the very first note of ‘Take the Long Way’.
Self-producing before mixing and mastering with drummer Jim Orso (Holy Ghost, Escort), the duo have found a winning formula that sees them continuously create creative and highly enjoyable music.
Speaking on the new single, Russell and Rico said, “Set to a summer ocean backdrop, this song captures the feeling of wanting to savor every moment of the late night trip back home — after one party ends and a new one is about to begin.
We wrote and recorded this one in West Hollywood and soon after added live violins from Jake which really brought the track to life”.
An ethereal backdrop filled with lively synthesisers and atmospheric vocal hooks, ‘Take the Long Way’ is served on a silver platter of goodness.
