Shaker Neon reveal exceptional new track ‘Lose Control’
Shaker Neon is the fluorescent brainchild of long time pals Dom James and Tommy Antonio.
Back with their exceptional new offering ‘Lose Control’, the London duo shine a light on new sounds and voices from across the UK.
Emerging from an idea at the piano by Tommy, the track has blossomed into a synth-funk contender which features the incredible vocalist Scarlett Fae from Brighton.
Their infectious sun soaked grooves and hooky melodic style has enjoyed support from BBC Radio 1, Spotify’s Fresh Finds and their debut single ‘Ice Cream’ enjoyed six weeks on the Amazing Radio B playlist.
The influence of funk and disco’s golden age shines through in their fresh, on-trend sound and they can be compared to current artists Childish Gambino, Jungle, Funk Wav Bounces and Pomo.
Speaking about the new release, Shaker Neon shares, “Lose Control is about falling hard for someone who doesn’t feel the same way…when friendship turns into something else, one night for them, but much more for you.
Only one of you gets hooked. That feeling of attraction and fascination is intoxicating, but when it ain’t returned, it hurts. Your body takes over and you lose control.”
Armed with a modern day Minnie Riperton-esque vocal, “Lose Control” is a cosmic experience best served on a good set of speakers or headphones.
Shaker Neon’s music has been heard by people in all four corners of the world from London’s West End to feature films and in collaboration with artists as diverse as MIA, Octavian, JuiceWrld and The Kooks.
