At CLOUT, we are longtime admirers of Rachel Bochner (search her name on the site, we have receipts), and feel like we have been through something of an emotional journey with the artist throughout the rollercoaster of releases that she has dropped over the last few years. Themes like mental health and growing up have been a staple of the New York singer-songwriter’s sound, and the candid nature of the way that she writes allows you to make these connections with the artist and feel like a part of this journey that she is going on.

The latest chapter of this story comes in the form of her new single ‘Graduation’, a track that feels like something of a a light at the end of a tunnel for the artist, who seems to have found a place for herself within good friends and an all around sense of comfort and closure within the track. As always with Rachel, her thoughts and feelings are transferred into an effortlessly catchy pop track that packs just as much style as it does substance, and continues to affirm her special talent for turning her world and experiences into such an accessible and fun listening experience.

“People always tell you “it gets better,” but Graduation was inspired by the people who showed me that saying is actually true.” Rachel Bochner says of the track. “After 4 years of feeling out of place in college, I finally found the friends who made me feel seen, loved, and overall just a little bit better. From writing countless songs, to laughing for hours, to planning how we’ll end up at the Grammys at 3 in the morning – this song is for the friendships I didn’t know I couldn’t live without until I got to experience them.”
