The track comes with the release of his debut EP I Couldn’t Trust.
Over the last few months, R.F. Coleman has rapidly flourished into one of our favourite emerging artists, releasing a slew of memorable and exciting singles in the lead up to the release of his debut EP I Couldn’t Trust. Now the EP is finally out (you can find it here) along with his final single from the project ‘Play Me Loud’.
The track is more of what has made the artist such a revelation since his emergence, complete with thoughtful, interesting soundscapes, thoughtful lyrics that are often laced in darkness and sobering sincerity, and the artist’s one-of-a-kind sense of personality and charm that exudes from his work. ‘Play Me Loud’ isn’t the most upbeat or instantly catchy track from the artist’s already immense catagloue, but it is a tortured and melancholy release that will get under your skin and stick with you for long after your first listen, despite the cute sonic touches and splashes of colour that the artist loves to include.
