From their humble beginnings, UK indie rock outfit Rila’s Edge have spent the last few years plugging away and progressing their sound to find themselves with an increasing amount of plaudits and fans.
Latest release ‘Someone New’ shows, if anything, that the outfit are absolutely not happy resting on their laurels and want to continue developing their sound and pushing it. The track navigates some difficult lyrical territory, featuring a protagonist who stays home knowing that their partner is out entertaining somebody else. The track increases in intensity, both musically and lyrically until it reaches its boiling point, with Rila’s Edge taking their sound to darker and heavier waters than ever before, and with emphatic effect. A really great band from an outfit that are on the up, and confirmation that the outfit are going to do whatever necessary to keep shaking things up and feeling exciting.
