The track is the first release from the emerging Guernsey bedroom pop singer-songwriter
On her deeply thoughtful and compelling debut single ‘Hey Peter’, rising bedroom pop multi-instrumentalist Romi Rowki does a great job of establishing the autobiographical and powerful tone of her sound, with the track unfolding in a conversational and flowing fashion that feels natural and real.
The stripped-back and minimalistic nature of the artist’s sound does a great job of amplifying the emotion and power of the personal lyrics and themes of the track, and it makes for a sound that feels endearingly raw and charming as you weave through its emotionally charged nature and carefully constructed metaphors. If you like bedroom pop or even indie-folk that has a bit more of a low-key and laid-back approach stylistically then there is a lot to find yourself enamoured with here, and the track does a great job of highlighting the artist’s refreshing and memorable writing and sense of character.
