The track comes ahead of the release of their debut album Call To The Void.
Since their emergence back in 2020 with debut EP Mutation Of, UK alternative outfit Sleemo have been carving and expanding upon a distinctive style that feels as emphatic as it does abrasive, melding crunching riffs with thoughtful, creative writing.
November 10th will see the band release their long awaited debut LP Call To The Void, and the album’s first single comes in the form of the sinister ‘Head Full of Lead’. The track has a real gravity to it throughout, boasting instrumentation that feels as beefy and crushing as ever through its muscular riffs and pounding drums. Themes like mental health and lethargy are explored on a track that feels anything but lethargic in its riffy carnage, proving to be a weighty and exciting statement ahead of the new collection of tracks.
Sleemo states “’Head Full of Lead’ is about how a lack of productivity affects your motivation and makes you feel a sense of nothingness and voicelessness. It’s hard to conjure up the effort and motivation when you’ve been through a lull so you rigorously pull yourself through despite how weighed down you feel and how heavy everything feels.”
