Thanks to their colourful and distinctive brand of R&B-tinged alternative pop, SYTË have established themselves as an exciting outfit over the last few years, crafting an immersive array of sounds and textures that have garnered them a burgeoning fan base.

The latest release from the outfit is their new single ‘Sirena’, a track about jealousy and ulterior motives that moves with a slick sense of composure and cool. The fluid nature of SYTË and their sound is in full flow on the track, floating by with its chilled out but effortlessly engaging soundscape and atmosphere. Lead vocalist Nita Kaja’s voice has an almost mesmerising quality at times as it swirls among the lush instrumentation and accentuates what a special and distinctive sound that SYTË have crafted.

“I wrote this song about confronting a dark feminine energy within me, that I’ve personified as “Sirena”, or the “siren swimming in my heart”, because it attempted to sabotage the first healthy and stable relationship in my life,” Nita says. “Growing up with low self esteem…I tied my self-worth to my ability to attract men and make them fall for me, all while still keeping my guard up and restraining my own emotional desire to be vulnerable and intimate. I wrote this song to heal from this defence mechanism, though old habits die hard.”
