On their stellar new single ‘The Light, The Void and Everything’, Canadian alternative rock outfit The Dirty Nil continue to showcase the grand and all-encompassing nature of their fiercely exciting and memorable sound.

There track does an incredible job of continuing to showcase the sense of scope of their sound, adventurous and soaring in style while never straying too far from their gritty rock n roll roots. There is an anthemic quality to the sound that feels infectiously charming, working its way under your skin and sticking with you for long after your listen, and alongside the track’s similarly memorable video, it leaves a lasting and memorable impression that speaks to their enduring, exciting appeal as a modern band.

“For years, we’ve kicked around this treatment, waiting for the perfect song to apply it to.” Frontman Luke Bentham says. “When we heard the playback of “The Light, The Void and Everything,” it was clear that the opportunity had come. In the execution, (producer/director/editor) Wyatt Clough’s attention to detail was stunning. I’ll never forget walking into that warehouse and seeing the fully constructed replica of the apartment from Blue Velvet. Wade was perfect in the role of Frank and it was a pleasure to watch him play the villain. Finally, shoutout to our incredible friends Steph Montani, Levi Kertesz and Dave Tyson for rounding out our cast. Everyone owes it to themselves to croon into a lightbulb, at least once in their life.”
