‘Dopamine’ is the searching and often intelligent new indie pop release from The Entertainment

Cambridgeshire singer songwriter Ben Hewerdine, better known as The Entertainment has released his engaging and catchy new single ‘Dopamine’.

The artist’s memorable indie pop sound is on full display here, building to a chorus that feels both satisfying and fun but with a perversely dark edge due to its juxtaposingly ominous lyrics. The track is about a craving for dopamine and losing yourself while on depression medication, and the jarring and interesting way that the tone of the track and lyrics don’t really match up or correlate to one and other expresses this kind of disconnect in an intelligent way.
