The Howlers traverse the foreboding ‘Badlands’

You'd be hard pressed to believe it's only the third single by the band 🤠

London troupe The Howlers are making a dent in the indie rock scene as of late, and their new single ‘Badlands’ is a perfect example of why.

Ambitious and energised, the track is a tour-de-force of the band’s sound. Harking to the likes of Dick Dale – famed most recently for the renowned soundtrack synonymous to a Tarantino Western – ‘Badlands’ deploys murky and flailing guitar work and fuzzy tones for a sound that is undeniably eerie.

Married with propulsive drumming and cajolingly confident vocals, the track is an urgent recount of a mythical foe across older, dustier lands.

‘Badlands’ is available now.
