The Jensens dive into Bowie’s “Ziggy-era” on ‘River Of Gold’

It’s the Australian band’s first outing of the year!

Returning with their first new single of the year, The Jensens share their latest outing ‘River Of Gold’. The track follows their self-produced 2019 debut album Hyacinth Haze.

Working tirelessly to establish a unique space for themselves in Australian music, the Brisbane five-piece enlist audible earmarks from some of their favourite bands to bring their new single to life. With hints of Arcade Fire and MGMT and a dollop more of Ziggy-era David Bowie, ‘River Of Gold’ is an uplifting, feel-good 70s inspired pop.

With bright guitar-work, funky disco-inspired rhythms and catchy falsetto vocals, The Jensens’ new single sound like one that’s already sitting in your collection. And the sentiment itself is just as fitting, with ‘River Of Gold’ being “about making someone you love see the best in themselves, when they can only see the worst”. Sweet.

‘River Of Gold’ is available now via Piper’s Son.
