The new version of the track feels just as emotional and moving as its predecessor

The new version of the track feels just as emotional and moving as its predecessor

On their poignant and thoughtful new single ‘Hold Me, Haunt Me’, Leeds based outfit Tillerman showcase the most vulnerable and endearing side of their sound, capturing something powerful and human as they explore the loss of a loved one in stirring fashion, putting together a warm, stripped-back sound that is sure to resonate with anybody who has been through something similar.

Every facet of the sound is finely tuned into creating a track that has an aura and atmosphere of powerful emotional resonance, from the softness of the instrumentation to the impassioned and thoughtful tone of the vocals. The track was written almost 15 years ago back in 2010 when singer Jon Kulczycki lost his father prematurely to cancer, and even today, the emotion and longing that such an event causes bleeds through the track in impactful fashion. Their sound remains as light and wholesome as ever on the new release, but the layers of hurt and emotion give the track a multi-faceted sense of appeal and depth that listeners will feel and relate to deeply.
