Following the rousing success that debut EP EP 1 was, emerging UK artist Tom A. Smith has wasted no time following it up with the release of his emphatic new single ‘Could I Live With Being Fake’.
The track features more of the boisterous, personality-filled pop rock that the artist is growing known for. Packing a cutting edge and uncompromising sense of authenticity and guile, the track is an ode to sticking to your beliefs and not doing the easy thing if it doesn’t suit you. The sound and the message go hand in hand, Tom is an artist who has carved out a unique niche for himself with his distinctive sound and is doing things his own way. As far as we can tell, that’s going pretty well for him.
Speaking about his latest release, he said, “I wrote this at a time when I’d turned down doing some things that guaranteed some high profile publicity and maybe even success, but it wasn’t what I wanted to do or feel passionate about. It didn’t mean I didn’t doubt if I was doing the right thing, but deep down I knew I was right and should believe in myself.”
