Sydney’s Vanessa Moussa has does a wonderful job establishing her charismatic pop sound on her first two releases ‘Roadless’ and the brand new ‘Rebound’.
The second of these singles is one about deception, set to a rich, bluesy backdrop that provides a contrast to the more stripped-back, acoustic arrangement of her debut. There is a sassiness to the release that showcases a bit more of the swagger and personality that Vanessa has to offer, with the artist dripping with composure and guile on the new release. From this instrumental to the assured and commanding vocal performance of the artist, ‘Rebound’ is a really fun release from someone who is rapidly finding her feet as an artist and finding her signature sound.
“Rebound is about deception.” Vanessa says. “This track helps remind us that we should always listen to our initial instincts, learn from our mistakes and sometimes just need to simply admit that “you go me good”.”
