The lyrics are weird, the atmosphere is often uneasy and leaves you unaware of where you stand with the track, but ‘The Buddy System’ has this innate sense of intrigue and creativity that means that you can’t look away, and some genuinely rousing melodies and aesthetically pleasing moments ensure that the track has enough style to compliment its boundless substance.
