New York duo Young Saab make a stellar debut with their chilled out new single ‘But I Love You’. The track features fellow Brooklyn singer Chloe Lilac.
Comprised of Jon Sandler from Great Good Fine Ok and Eric Zeiler from Little Daylight and grunge outfit Me Not You, Young Saab still carry an air of mystery and intrigue thanks to their currently minimal online presence.
Mournful guitar opens the track before the atmosphere swells with emotive strings and bright interjections of synth. Brisk and skittish beats dance across the underbelly of ‘But I Love You’, as Lilac’s succinct melody anchors the chorus and has her ruminating on the depth of her affections for her lover.
It is lo-fi bedroom pop at its finest.
