Its the third song from Conor Oberst’s return under the Bright Eyes moniker
‘One and Done’ follows ‘Persona Non Grata’ and ‘Forced Convalescence’ for what will make Conor Oberst, Nathaniel Walcott and Mike Mogis’ first album as Bright Eyes since 2011’s The People’s Key.
Written pre-COVID-19, Oberst’s storytelling is typically full of post-apocalyptic social commentary – “This whole town looks empty, but we knew it wouldn’t last/ Behind bulletproof windows they’re still wiring the cash/ Whatever they could scrape up, whatever that they had/ there’s a lot of mouths to feed through this famine.”
More details about the album will be released soon.
Previously announced live dates are postponed until 2021.
