The conversational and raw way that she articulates her thoughts and feelings always makes for listening experiences that feel therapeutic and cathartic with Mae, and this track does a really great job of honing in on some of the more real and intense themes of her sound while still maintaining the soft, folky appeal of her sound. It does a great job of establishing the depth and honesty the artist’s new album looks set to be full of, and has us thoroughly excited to hear everything else she has in store.
