Speaking about her incredible new single, ELUNIA tells us, “the initial idea for Soak was written in a post-concert daze. I wanted to capture the lingering feeling of euphoria that I had – after many years of struggling with mental illness and isolation caused by bullying and exclusion, I felt like immersing myself in music was becoming a sort of beacon of light.
While other people my age tried to find highs through substances and extroverted behaviors, I clutched onto music instead. I wanted to drag out the memories, idealize the people I met, and feel like there was magic in every experience – even if I knew deep down that it was all just a coping mechanism and not truly reflective of reality.”
