Sharing his thoughts on the visuals, Wild Spelks explains, “For the Nine By Sixteen video, it was another collaboration with our live drummer, Harry Jenkinson who has directed all of our videos so far.
With this track being so drum-heavy, we thought it would be a good opportunity to highlight the percussive side of things, stripping it back to basics, just me and a drum kit, how the songwriting began.
The sparseness of the location helps lead focus to the subject, which matches the lyrical themes about the images we digest on social media, a polished, filtered version of ourselves.”
