Bridget Rian and her alt-pop sound that is laced with punk and emo-laced tendencies have created quite a stir since her 2021 emergence, and with her sophomore EP Screaming at the Stars looking set to be her most ambitious and defining release yet, the sky truly looks to be the limit for the young artist.
The third and latest track released from the EP is ‘radio silence’, a relatable and hopeless track about finding yourself entangled with somebody that you just can’t seem to let go of, regardless of how badly they treat you. The track has a real gravity and sense of impact to it, from the artist’s devastated, almost numb balladry, to the heaviness of the instrumental that just adds to the sense of weight. ‘radio silence’ is an ode to the hopelessness and self-aware patheticness of being trapped in this relatable and unfair situation, and there are sure to be a lot of people who resonate with the words and the feelings that are conveyed.
