The track continues to build anticipation for their upcoming debut LP DOWNER.
Since first showcasing their intimate indie pop sound back in 2021 with the release of their debut single ‘Lost in Your Life’, DC duo GLOSSER have gone from strength to strength, establishing a sound that feels beautifully atmospheric and unmistakably their own. Everything feels like it has been leading up to right now, with the duo’s highly-awaited debut album DOWNER set to be released on January 27th, providing a chance to hear their most fleshed out and realised vision for their sound to date.
The second release from this LP is their emphatic new single ‘Movies’, a brooding and atmospheric track that feels like a masterclass in creating a vibe and sense of occasion from the second it begins. There is a satisfying sense of catharsis and reflection as Riley Fanning and Corbin Sheehan create a track that builds and transforms in the most immersive and rousing fashion. The track is an excellent new release from the duo, and the latest showcase of an album that could be set to be a huge landmark moment for the duo.
‘Movies’ came together fairly easily, because we started out with a melody and were able to build the idea of the song around it.” Corbin Sheehan says of the track. “After it was mapped out, we probably spent the most time getting this song right sounding in the studio – and I think we accomplished what we wanted when first writing it.”
