His unique sound and charismatic charm are things that have characterised Drew Danburry throughout the various projects and incarnations of his sound and style, and his most recent project Icarus Phoenix is one that continues to showcase the innate appeal and thoughtful, immersive aura of his songwriting and musings.

The artist’s single ‘Agradecido’ translates from Spanish to ‘grateful’, and sees the artist exploring the myth of Persephone eating the pomegranate as an explanation for seasons, and the positive outlook that the artist has when maintaining a long distance relationship with his son, visiting and talking on the phone whenever possible and being a part of his life at every juncture he can. The track sees the artist thinking about how much he would love have a little bit more experience with his son died, and it is these things that really put life into perspective and make us grateful and thankful for what we have, with the band’s charming sound and affable songwriting doing a great job of articulating that through the sound.
