Enigmatic artist GOLDS shares her latest single ‘Drip’. Taken from her new EP Imprints, the new track surmises the creative growth of the singer-songwriter.
Underpinned by lush, rich synths tones, buzzing basslines and handicapped percussion, ‘Drip’ weaves an intoxicating alt-pop landscape and is the perfect introduction to any unfamiliar with GOLDS’ work. Topped off by her meandering and composed vocal, the track talks of enjoying the art of creativity.
“‘Drip’ is about enjoying the process rather than obsessing over other people’s perceptions and the outcome,” shares GOLDS of her latest release. “It’s about getting in touch with your own creativity and why you love doing whatever it is you do.
“It’s the perfect way to end the EP as I tried to make that my approach to everything – exploring sounds, trying anything without judgement, not rushing things and letting lyrical themes emerge when they were ready,” she continues. “I changed a lot while writing it and I feel like you can hear that difference between ‘Broken Wing’ and ‘Drip’. It’s a little time capsule.”
‘Drip’ is available now, alongside GOLDS new EP Imprints.
