We had a chat with impactful pop artist Bohardt about his distinctive style and thoughtful new single ‘Tomorrow’
Consistently crafting sounds that resonate with listeners both emotionally and melodically, San Diego born alternative pop artist Bohardt has developed a stirring and thoughtful sound that is capable of making listeners feel feelings and emotions all across the spectrum, with tracks as nuanced and expansive as they are engrossing.
The latest single from the artist is ‘Tomorrow’, a hopeful track about getting through tough days and persevering in the belief that tomorrow will be a better day. Bohardt’s vocals have a steely determination and power to them throughout that feels inspiring and defiant, creating this empowering tone that is gripping throughout. We love the new release, and had a chat with Bohardt to find out some more about his distinctive pop style and the journey that he has been on to craft it.
Who TF is Bohardt?
I’m someone who writes a bunch of nonsense in hopes that it turns into a song. And usually those scribblings are based around my life.
How long have you been making music?
I’ve been making music since I was 16 years old. It took me quite sometime to realize I was made to sing Pop.
Why do you make music?
Music is the only way I can express myself. No amount of therapy could ever replace the freeing experience that making music brings me.
What are your biggest influences?
I’ve been really inspired by Teddy Swims lately, however, my music tends to evolve into something completely different than that.
What would you say has been your best moment so far?
One of the best moments I’ve experienced as a musician was having someone reach out to me and tell me that one of my tracks helped them get through their divorce! To hear that something I created helped someone to that degree, cemented the idea that I will never stop creating.
How would you describe your sound to somebody unfamiliar with it?
I’d say it has mostly pop/alt vibes but slips into rock , synth pop and dance… So it sounds like a mess, but in a good way…I hope haha.
What’s your dream “I’ve made it” moment?
I think my “I’ve made it” moment will be when I’ve gotten everything I need to say off my chest.
We love your new single ‘Tomorrow’, what more can you tell us about it?
We’ve all had rough days that we wish we could fast forward with the thought that things will get better. “Tomorrow” shines light on depression and provides a glimmer of hope that we can make it through the day if we just hold on
What else do you have planned for the near future?
I’ve got some great songs coming out this year that I can’t wait to share with all of you.
And finally, who is your biggest fan right now?
My biggest fan right now is hopefully the person reading this haha.
