It’s always nice to get a bit of a pick me up, and what better way to do it than with a shining bright new track.
‘These Days’ is a brilliant summer anthem from abLAze. Complete with soulful samples, trowing nods to the likes of The Neptunes and Timberland and that type of minimalism that is always surprisingly powerful.
Speaking on the project, Jeppe states that, “When the corona lockdown hit the world, Kinck and I decided that if was important to stay productive, so I started sending her tracks and she added vocals on her end and send back to me. It is really important to me to have fun in the process of writing and creating and we wanted to make something uplifting during these crazy times, and so ‘These Days’ became the beginning of abLAze.”
Kinck also says about the track, “I usually like writing more somber lyrics but during this crisis I really started to feel the need to create something that would take your mind of the situation and put a smile on people’s faces again. It is in situations like this it really feels like a gift to be able to write songs that can hopefully help people though some hard times.”
