The colourful new release continues to showcase the immersive appeal of the artist.
London-based, Glaswegian indie-pop artist Alex Amor has done a stellar job of establishing her instantly affable and delicate sound since the release of her 2021 debut EP Love Language, and only seems to be continuing to go from strength to strength.
Her latest release, ‘Colour Me’, is another that is drenched a in lush, almost dreamlike sheen, as the artist daydreams through a colourful narrative of meeting someone special. The track has a truly effortless appeal, with the artist’s captivating vocals delicately hovering over this effervescent soundscape to craft a sound that feels earnest and emotionally direct. The track is a gorgeous blend of melodic, dreamy indie pop and vulnerable and raw songwriting that feels impossibly soft, and so, so easy to immerse and lose yourself within.
Speaking on the release of “Colour Me”, Alex Amor said: “When you’re in a dark place, life can seem grey, monotonous and stale. But sometimes, all it takes is for one person to come crashing into your life for the world to come back in blazing colour. Falling in love makes the leaves turn greener, the sky bolder and the sun shine brighter. It’s like you’re viewing the world through a saturated lens, where the boring parts of life become not only bearable but enjoyable again with this person by your side.”
