The new single is from the LA artist’s cover album Undercover.
Betty Moon is an artist who has grown synonymous with creativity and guile, and this was apparent as ever on her cover album Undercover that was released in early 2022, featuring a range of different reworkings of tracks that the artist liked.
The track that opened up this LP was a cover of Royal Blood’s explosive single ‘Boilermaker’, with the artist providing the track with some of her signature vocal charm to give it a completely new sense of edge and appeal. The hypnotic grooves of the track and its nuanced rhythms lend themselves excellently to the artist’s style, and provide an already iconic track with her own indelible mark. ‘Boilermaker’ manages to both pay homage to a track that the artist loves while providing it with a completely new dimension and edge, continuing to showcase the charisma and uniqueness of Betty and her sound.
“Boilermaker is one of my favorite rock tracks of the modern era, and I was excited to lean into it with my own swagger,” says Moon. “While I prep some of this new material I wanted to put something fresh out there for the fans, and I hope you enjoy the song as much as I did making it for you all.”
