The track has a really creative soundscape that takes on a more chilled out approach to contrast the over the top nature of the lyrics, almost neutering their exaggerated nature and giving the track a more earnest, grounded feel. ‘I miss your face’ is loads of fun though, and a track that people in relationships old and new will be able to relate to as they recall the fuzzy feelings that they have (hopefully) had in similar situations. Carlay continues to build on her sound and charm with each new release, and this track is a nice reminder of what an exciting artist she is.
