The rousing new single is the artists third and most personal of the year.
On her new single ‘Attack’, Chloe Mogg has found an cathartic and often mesmerising outlet to tell her story, specifically of her fight with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The track is a rousing and theatrical journey that masterfully encapsulates the feelings of anxiety and darkness that surround her condition.
Within the sound itself there are tonnes of reasons to feel swept up in the composition, from its powerful and defiant alternative rock foundations to eerier undertones that always feel on the brink of taking over, ‘Attack’ is a track that captures anxiety in a compelling and visceral way with its sounds just as well as it does with lyricism.
“It’s about how I always felt I had to apologise in advance for my mental health and my disabilities.” Chloe has said of the track. “It’s my favourite release so far. It came from a dark place and has evolved into something that I’m so proud to share. It’s moody, theatrical and orchestral, and exactly how I imagined it to sound in my head.”
